Rewrite and restructure all courses under the guidance of an educator.
I am new to Data Science and I have taken the DS Fundamentals course and am 4/5ths through DS for Business. The course structure, language, and materials are abysmal. Fundamentals need to be explained in layman's terms, not jargon. Make videos that actually illustrate the course text, not just parrot it with a useless graphic. The math operations used in R need their own course. And get the module sequencing correct, so students don't have to hunt down materials (and then load the same ones repeatedly). Furthermore, I think the quizzes and tests should go more in depth on the subject matter, and not just be sound-bite recall. I've done pretty well on the quizzes and tests, but I can't say I've learned much, beyond some jargon.
I don't mean to completely trash BDU, I'm just frustrated because this should be a GREAT data science resource for all levels, but it's more like a refresher for advanced students with really easy exams. I hope it's due to growing pains, and I hope the courses will get sorted out soon.
