organize the learning paths in a better way
After completing the Introduction to Big Data course, I realized that I can't find a page that displays your overall progress. (completed courses, badges, grade, etc. ). I suggest you add a page where the completed courses are displayed, as well as in progress courses. Thank you for your understanding

Review question 2 for YARN architecture is wrong.
In the Third question states Resource Manager is one for application and ends at the application end. and this is not true. This role is assigned to Resource Master. I answered false and I am right, but the course considered my answer as wrong and I lost my point in the score....

Choosing Between R and Python to earn the Data Science Foundations – Level 2 badge
for earning the Data Science Foundations – Level 2 badge,
Why is it mandatory that I have to take the (R 101) course and not the (Python 101) course?
I mean we should have the choice to take one of the programming languages and not to be forced for the R language only. Thanks in Advance.

Basic??? 101??? Is it a joke?
For a course entitled Scala 101, this course is pretty advanced, designed for those already familiar with enviroment, vocabulary and broad programing experience. I gave it a shot but I felt like it was a desastrous waist of my time. I strongly suggest you go back to scratching board and redesign it for people with no program experience, or do not classify it as "basic" or call it " 101". Those of us really interested in learn it would really appreciate that.

Correction in video of 'Data Frames' in Module 2 of course R101
The video of 'Data Frames' in Module 2 of course R101 (https://courses.cognitiveclass.ai/courses/course-v1:BigDataUniversity+RP0101EN+2016/courseware/76d637cbe8024e509dc445df847e6c3a/87a6f38e1c6f407b86a1aabbb5e326c2/) is having the incorrect syntax of using Data Frames(it is missing stringsAsFactors=F) which gives warning for adding a new row in R 3.4.1 on Windows(Warning message: In

Is there a way to access courses from the old Big Data University?
There is a specific course that I have found that I want to take, but it is in the archived courses from the old Big Data University, and it says that I cannot create a new account to sign up for it. How can I access the course?

Python 101 - Course issue
At Module 2, on the Dictionaries II in Python chapter:
After minute 2:53 of the video, audio and images do not correspond anymore.PS: another idea would be the implementation of a issue report tool. (I did not found the proper place to do so).

Check autocorrect in the transcripts
Whatever is used to spellcheck the transcripts must not recognize the word "bitcoin". In the transcript for Bitcoin 101, there are references to "big corn" and "big Korean network".

Make sure the labs are reset before beginning
I am currently doing the Machine Learning with Python Course and have previously done the Data Science Fundamentals Learning Path. I am really enjoying the courses but the labs lack involvement. When I go through the notebooks I find that everything is already done. I don't even have to press Ctrl+Enter to execute if I don't want to.
I wish these were reset so I can see what is happening, or attempt to figure out the answer first. I know this is the way it is designed because the Machine Learning labs have a "Hover over for answer" cell immediately…4 votes -
Sequencing of data scientist fundamentals module
The modules under data Scientist are not in sequence. In course DS0101EN under labs, there are Jupyter notebook is frequently used.
However description about using DSWB tools are given very later point of time under DS0105EN.
If we first give the introduction about DSWB tools, it will easier for new students to use Labs.2 votes -
Make the course interactive
The course is too passive for the learner. I don't have to do anything other than answer quiz questions. Even the labs have all the answers typed out. Is this intentional?

Make Big Data University a school on Linkedin...
... so that we can proudly tell the world (with a nice BDU logo) where we've learnt Data Science and Big Data!

Graded Review Questions are not related to the Module
Hi,
Just finished Graded Review Questions of Python 101 / Module 2 - Python Data Structures I.
Found that these questions are not covered by what's discussed in the module.
No sure if this is designed purposely. In my personal opinion, it would be good that those questions are related and can be used as a review of what's learnt.
Thanks and regards,

dynamics and modulation
My general observation is on the voice overs reading the script., It sounds too mechanical, a subject matter expert when teaching will modulate concepts better, in a way students can remember by remembering their voice or dynamics. The voice that is reading the transcripts lacks dynamics and the human element. Its too mechanical. Can be improved for better.

Change the 'what is hadoop' section
The sound quality and speed of speech is really bad. I am from the UK and I have found this really difficult to understand. I wasn't able to make out half of what was actually being said.

Correct all bad grammar
It is so disappointing to see the use of bad English grammar on your site as it degrades your message. It doesn't matter whether you have 'copied' someone's blog or written it yourself. Bad grammar does not further any learning - it stops it.
