  2. Allow labs to be done on cloud instead of VMware images

    It would be great if I can perform hands-on-labs for Hadoop related courses on the cloud rather than have to download huge VMware images.

    but, When i try to start the lab, am getting the following error:-

  9. Group the passed exams in user dashboard

    It would be nice to separate the completed courses from the currents in the list under the user dashboard (https://courses.bigdatauniversity.com/dashboard).
    Maybe you can simply separate the list adding a new heading between the two lists. Better would be using tabs or accordion. :D

  12. make notebooks file downloadable instead of running in the cloud

    it's great that you offer the notebook on the cloud. But if your connection is not good (especially in China where I currently live), it's better to download it and run it locally on your computer, especially if you use a software to open the notebook directely like Pineapple or nteract : https://github.com/nteract/nteract

    Good Day,

    I ssh systemt.datascientistworkbench.com. Then I start hive using "hive" command. I try to create database/tables in hive but it says I don't have access.

    I see many test kind of hive databases which people have created. How can I create database/tables in hive?

  16. Make sure the labs are reset before beginning

    I am currently doing the Machine Learning with Python Course and have previously done the Data Science Fundamentals Learning Path. I am really enjoying the courses but the labs lack involvement. When I go through the notebooks I find that everything is already done. I don't even have to press Ctrl+Enter to execute if I don't want to.
    I wish these were reset so I can see what is happening, or attempt to figure out the answer first. I know this is the way it is designed because the Machine Learning labs have a "Hover over for answer" cell immediately…

    Hi everyone,

    I can't for the life of me figure out how to copy paste information into the practice environment. I can copy and paste entire cells but not information INTO a cell. For example, when attempting to use an operation on a data set, the above data set in a seperate cell doesn't always apply to the operation cell (error: variable is undefined) my solution so far has been to copy the cell with the variable information above and then merge the cells.     Your lab quiz for IBMDeveloperSkillsNetwork: CO0101EN cannot be retake. I just need 1% more to pass and get certificate, but your so called 'intelligent' system doesn't allow me to retake the lab quiz. So, you expect all people get all 100% correct on their first time learning? That is really weak and unreliable system.
